How would you wear this dress?

I have had this dress for a while now & I adore Acne but I can’t seem to wear it.  I can normally put an outfit together no problem, this dress has me thinking hard.

I am a bit obsessed with stripes.  My closet has too many striped pieces but I can’t help it, I’m completely drawn to them.  This dress is great because of the direction of the stripes.  They are all broken up.  And, I love the long sleeves.  It’s hard to find maxi dresses with long sleeves.

I don’t like it by itself.  It looks like it needs something.  I put a high waist belt & it looked wrong.  I put a jacket with it & felt like the circus was in town.  I just thought to use a low hanging belt maybe?  I know it has potential to look cool.  I know I’ll get it eventually.
